"God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another ." 1 Peter 4:10
Last week, we had the wonderful opportunity to attended an event called " Love Made Me Do It." This evening was put on by a group of fabulous, fierce, female entreprenuers in the city of Los Angeles. The room was filled with excitment, women were gathering amongst themselves in loud circles of chatter , and decked out in the latest fashion. Women from all different walks of life, were here to unite through a common interest. Love!
The event started with a insirping group of panelist, Samira Far- Owner of Bellacure Nail Salons, Luz Rivas-Founder of DIY Girls, and Jaclyn Johnson-Founder of No Subject. The night emphasied on the way to live life is by doing what you love. Reach for your dreams they are possible! This group of successful women provided the "In's and Out's" on how to grow and maintain a business. It was a dream come true of mines to see women from opposite ends of the world, in business and in culture join forces as one. In the mist of sharing each of their stories, I was there taking notes sure not to miss a beat. Jaclyn from No Subject, a creatively driven marekting and events agency gave great advise on knowing your business. One of the things she mentioned was to 'Know what your good at, be specific at what your good at, and dont try to be everything to everyone.' In other words, Know your audience. Luz, Harvard Graduate & engineer of DIY Girls, emphasized on; 'Breaking your shell. Dont be afraid of new things. All new opportunites to stretch and teach you how to grow as an individual and entrepneur.' While, Samira owner of Chic nail salon, Bellacures added humor and whit to her repsonses mentioning, that her near death expereince working in complacency at corporate america is what fuled her to get uncomfortable, break the social norms of success and follow her dreams.
Today we encourage you Fly Girls to break the barriers of normality. Join forces with girls, dreamers just like you that will empower you to get to a place of discomfort, because that is the place where change begins and dreams are born.
