She Sounds Like What She Looks Like
My Flashback Fashion Inspiration is none other than Lilakoi Moon, aka Lisa ‘Denise’ Bonet.
She’s certainly one of my favorite Fly Girls. Her 90’s style and personality was much like mine, boho-chic and almost risky, but mostly just free. Lisa paved the way for anomalies across all the nations with her trend-setting, very original wardrobe on both The Cosby Show and A Different World and for her personal choice of attire. Her personality matched the way she robed herself. She wore every garment with pride, just like she delivered every line in her scripts, to perfection.
You know the saying “It sounds like what it looks like?” Yeah, that was Denise. And, for that YOU ARE MY FLASHBACK FASHION FAVORITE!
